These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Bragaf — the Bragaf website and web application for X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. By using Bragaf, you agree to these Terms.
This is a template that should be reviewed by a legal professional and adapted to the laws that apply to you before commercial launch.
Bragaf lets you plot diffraction patterns, produce figures, label peaks, fit peaks, and run unit-cell and Rietveld refinements. A free tier is available; paid plans (“Pro”) may be offered later, subject to these Terms and our Refund Policy.
You agree not to: misuse or overload the service; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to it; use it for unlawful purposes; or resell it without our permission. We apply rate limits and may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
You retain all rights to the diffraction data, structures and files you use with Bragaf. You grant us a limited license to process that data only to provide the features you request (see our Privacy Policy). We do not claim ownership of your data or your results.
Bragaf is a tool, not a substitute for your own scientific judgment. Peak fits, Scherrer sizes, refined cell parameters, Rietveld results and any other computed values are provided on an “as is” basis and may contain errors or be unsuitable for your specific case. You are solely responsible for verifying all results before relying on them, publishing them, or using them for any decision. We make no warranty that any result is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
Bragaf and its software are owned by us and protected by applicable law. Rietveld refinement is powered by GSAS-II (B. H. Toby & R. B. Von Dreele, J. Appl. Cryst. 46, 544–549, 2013). This product includes software produced by UChicago Argonne, LLC under Contract No. DE-AC02-06CH11357 with the U.S. Department of Energy. GSAS-II is used under its open-source (BSD-style) license.
If you purchase a Pro plan, billing is handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Prices, features and billing cycles will be shown at checkout. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its results.
You may stop using Bragaf at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
